September 11th - Opening Night
Welcome back to members old and new. Catch up with members on what they have been up to since the end of last season. Celebrate success with the presentation of last year’s trophies and find out what’s going on during the coming season. Also, tonight a chance for members to vote for last years Print Image of the Year held over since last season.
September 18th - Zan’s Lens
A big welcome to Zan Threlfall from Biggar who will entertain members with some stunning NH images.

September 25th - Summer Image Night
A chance to show some of your images from your summer picture taking. Bring along up to 12 images to share with your fellow members.
October 2nd - Totie Photies by Jacki Gordon
Another new visitor to the club. Jacki will present a talk Totie Photies. Check out her work on her website.

October 9th - Scavenger Hunt
A chance to see members efforts at capturing the ten subjects on this year’s Scavenger Hunt. Please name your images as follows. Category Number e.g. 01 underscore then your title (NOT the category as your title please)

October 16th - Appraisal No 1
First appraisal of the new session and a welcome to Ian Sturrock from St Andrews Camera Club.
Subject is OPEN.
October 23rd - Portfolio/Equaliser Competitions
These are two digital-only competitions that are open to all members held over from last season
The Equaliser competition held in memory of former member, Alpin Ross-Smith, is for ONE IMAGE on a subject “ No Sky Landscape “
The Portfolio competition is for FOUR images on a theme of the photographer’s choosing. The judge will judge each image separately but will also give a score on the overall portfolio
October 30th - Portrait Practical Night I
Always popular with members are our practical nights. Bring along a camera and make use of the clubs lighting equipment to give your self confidence in taking portraits.
November 6th - Portrait Practical Night II
A follow on from last week. Put what you learnt to good use and produce some cracking portraits to impress your fellow members.
November 13th - Scotland’s Night Sky
A welcome to Andrew Allan who will entertain members with images from the galaxy and beyond taken in Scotland. Check out his website and his You Tube channel. www. scotlandsnightsky.com
November 20th - Members 50 :50 Night
A chance to see and hear your own members work. Two members will give a talk on their own photography style.
November 27th - Appraisal No 2
The second appraisal of the year and this year we are trying something different. One of the pdi images must be on a set subject. The subject chosen is “ ABSTRACT “. A new appraiser visits the club tonight so a big Mid Calder welcome to Ken Goodfellow from Dunfermline Photographic Society to cast his eye over our images.
December 4th - Match A Slide Night
After last year’s success another “Match A Slide “night Two teams of members will try and out match the other with their unusual choice of subject.
December 11th - Social Night
Enjoy an evening of social intercourse before the Christmas Break.
January 8th - Christmas Social
A chance to welcome in the new year with club members over a meal and probably a drink or two.
January 15th - Night Photography
Tonight we are heading out for a session of night photography. Venue TBC and weather permitting. May be swapped with the 50:50 night on Feb 26th.
January 22nd - David Corfield
David Corfield from Biggar is our visitor tonight. David will talk about his life as a photographer and writer.

February 5th - Appraisal No 3
Third Appraisal of the session and the only one with a set subject. Once again, we have decided to set the theme as
“ MONOCHROME “. We welcome Malcolm Lind back to the club to cast his eyes over our images .
February 12th - Still Life Practical
Another practical Night this evening. Bring along a camera and tripod and shoot some still life images on display.
February 19th - Iceland : Land of Ice and Fire
Tonight we welcome Roy Robertson FRPS Hon SPF from Fife to show us his images from Iceland.
February 26th - Members 50 : 50 Night
A chance to see and hear your own members work. Two members will give a talk on their own photography style.
Tonight may have been swapped with the evening of Night Photography scheduled for January 15th.
March 5th - Pecha Kucha Night
20 images for 20 seconds each. Sounds easy!!
Bring along a selection of 20 of your images and say everything that needs to be said about it in just 20 seconds per image.
March 12th - Members Night
Another night for club members. Subject TBC at later date.
March 19th - Robin Redpath Landscape Comp
Tonight we are visiting our friends in Armadale and Blackridge Camera Club for the second running of the Robin Redpath landscape competition.
Can the club continue last years success.
March 26th - Appraisal No 4
All to play for at the last appraisal of the year. Casting his eyes over our images is Colin Joyce another new judge to the club. One of the pdi images may have to be a set subject TBC. Who will be top of the league at the end ?
April 2nd - West Lothian Inter Club
Mid Calder are the current holders. Can they hang onto the trophy for another year ?
